Has anyone experienced difficulty getting off the shelf shot shells?

If you can find any you better buy em. And that goes handgun ammo as well. Nothing will be cheap.

Skeet league started last weekend. I shoot a flat every weekend. I’ve found target loads are hard to find. Reloading components, especially primers are on short supply. I think I have enough shot, wads, and powder, but primers I may be looking around for.

Yep. Hurricane took the roof off my local supplier's warehouse.

Its a thin supply. In mid December, I was able to find 12 gauge, three inch in #4 steel at our local Academy Sports, and something similar at the Wally in the Ozarks, but most are cleaned out. If there is a box of non tox, grab it.

I went to Cabelas in Reno Nv. Recently for ammo. Handgun ammo none. Shotgun ammo , they had about 10% of what they normally have. Rifle ammo, they had a couple calibers that I never heard of. I think with the new administration things will only get worst. There was a lengthy line to buy guns but I didn’t check out what their gun selection was like.

That is another thing. Academy had not one gun out on display. I did not ask, but I assume they were sold out. Granted it was two weeks before Christmas but dang. I mean, how does it go when the gun supply is low? Do people walk in and say - Sell me whatever you have got. :lol3:

I hate to do it, but I may go ahead and buy some $1 per bullet 9mm before Creepy Joe and the Ho take over.

The problem with ordering ammo on line in California is that it can’t be directly shipped to you. It must be shipped to an FFL who is licensed in California to sell ammo. Then before you can pick up your order you have to pass a background check (which you pay for). Since these laws were passed we no longer have any gun crime. No murders, no armed robbery, no armed home invasions........Oh wait, I got that wrong. All violent crime committed with firearms has gone up in California. Guess we need more gun and ammo laws :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:

I have welcomed a string of expatiate Californians to waterfowl hunt with me in Idaho the last few years. Yesterday, as a matter of fact, a former World Champion Duck Caller. But I am not worried about doing that as I doubt any have been motivated to move here permanently for hunting and fishing alone.
Politics and taxes of the Left Coast has lit a fire under most, and I can sympathize with them all.
As to the ammo shortage, I reckon there have been few nations as well armed as are the citizenry of our country at the moment, and only the very blind fail to see this current tension could lead to just about anything.

I have plenty of ammo, I just don’t want to use any of it... Keep the shelves full in my basement.

 I feel the same way. Don't mind burning shotgun shells, but bullets are so dang expensive and hard to find, I have ceased going to the range for now because each time I pull the trigger, I think DOLLAR. :crying:

I think anything you can get is gonna be as good as cash in 6 months.
If you buy to sell later, you won't have to advertise, folks will be lined up at your door just by word of mouth.

We are dry as a bone here, I called up BOSS and had .410's of all things shipped to my door without missing a beat.
