Favorite movie lines

Locked&Loaded mentioned it, about another movie...OK. I'll bite!

Here's mine...see if you can guess the movie.
"Must I kiss the hand that beats me, lick the boot that kicks me...NO! I would rather spend my life in this a dirty hole, then to escape to fight again for things I do not believe, against people I do not a hate."
So the words Fall and Autumn are not to be capitalized?
They are in my world.

I usually lean toward comedies. Christmas Vacation was loaded with great lines.

I use this one regularly when someone in our operations has a conniption fit about a customer request and rather than just saying no, they bob and weave around providing five minutes of rationalization.

General Jack Ripper from Dr. Strangelove - : He said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

And of course - Do you realise that fluoridation - is the most monstrously-conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face?

And finally from General Jack Ripper - There's no other choice. God willing, we will prevail in peace and freedom from fear and in true health through the purity and essence of our natural fluids.

Favorite quote from one of the greatest pieces of American literature ever written .... and later became a movie:

Each one of us here today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help, Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding.

Two from Planes, Trains and Automobiles (BTW, a great movie)

From the scene where they share a bed in a hotel.

Neal: Where is your other hand Del?
Del: Between two pillows....
(strategic pause)
Neal: Those aren't pillows!!!

The airport scene when Del sees the flight crew get off the plane.

"There is no way we are getting out of here tonight. We'd have more luck playing pick-up-sticks with our butt cheeks than we will getting out of here before daybreak."

I love that movie. :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:

Ok, I know, I know that this is going to open a can of worms.....but for a 3 minute movie, it's worth discussion
