Incoming Husker Freshman looking for some advice.

Hi everyone,

I live in Minnesota currently and this fall I will be attending Nebraska-Lincoln. I’m hoping some of you guys that are in Lincoln area can give me some advice as to what I can expect for hunting. Is there much for sloughs and small water around Lincoln or should I expect mostly field hunting? I’m just trying to get a rough idea of what gear I should plan to bring.

It can be a rough for public. The public here gets pretty crowded on the weekends. Private is hard to come and visit f it does come up is gone fast. Most folks I've run into want some big money for their places and again those places go quick. Have not found anyone to just give permission (I know those days are long gone). Hate to paint doom and gloom picture but any where around Lincoln/Omaha is either pricey or crowded and you will have to work for a spot.
