Early Season Teal

Anyone going to fight the skeeters and hope that you might see a Teal? Every year I tell myself I an not going back but if the season is in I cant help but go.

yeah, I will probably go as well. I have impoundment passes this year so it should be better than years past.

Last year was just nasty. We sat in the thunder,lightning,and monsoons for about 2 hours before it finally quit. It is a bad feeling when you are in the middle of an impoundnent in the lightning. Dont think I will do that again if I can help it. But we did kill 5 blue wings.

Yeh maybe this year people will stay put and not walk around the decoy spread while teal are flying over. What size steel shot do i need this year for teal? let me know bro

I would buy #3. That is the best overall shot for most species. Well that is what I think anyway.

Do you need a permit for Pamlico Point, Campbell Creek, or J Morgan Futch impoundments for the early Teal season?

Not until Nov. 1 but make sure you do not touch the landing before 4:00. Where are you planning on Going?

Have not decided yet. I will check out Futch later this week. I think it is a bit early, but it will be the only opportunity I have scout the area. Planning on gettting a look at PP and CC on Sept 4 or 5.

Checked out Futch on Wed and it is dry, so no birds. Saw Pea Island on Thursday and did see several flocks of birds sitting on the water.
