Last minute hunt? Advice appreciated.

Postby bigsprig » Wed Jan 04, 2017 10:09 am

Have friend who had set up a hunt for his teenage duck crazy son that fell through due to poor quality outfitter.

He is looking for a hunt for January 13, 14.

Very nice young man and deserves a good hunt where he will have a chance at shooting something (not having much luck at home).

Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks and Happy New Year all.

Caption froggy has blinds on the sound and is on Facebook. You could look him up for contact infomation. Might have a few days open. Most of the really good guides are already full I'm sure.

Maybe try wet feather outfitters as well. They have blinds by the lake and might have a few days open. 3 person min. Though. Good luck

Thank you very much for reply and the PM sent by others. Not looking good at this point. Thanks for any updates or cancellation information in Eastern NC.

Capt Froggy very nice (yes he is Carls Photography also), but he does not have those dates open. Thanks to all for PM and posts. Due to school and his fathers work, they can only hunt on 13th and 14th.

Thanks to all who pm'd and replied. Was able to find someone for that Friday and young man got his first teal and first bluebill, His father shot his first Ruddy. We went public on Saturday and were able to scratch out teal.

Thanks again for all the input. Moral to this, book now for next year in North Carolina (MD, etc).
