Stephen's County

Postby BearRiverBanded » Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:49 pm

Howdy y'all,
I recently applied to a job in Stephen's county and I am curious to how the hunting in the area is especially waterfowl and deer. I imagine there are hogs around.

Any info would be appreciated

Might be a place to start your quest.

I turkey hunt on a buddies farm over in that area and there’s no shortage of deer or hogs. He keeps telling me at certain times of the year geese and ducks hit their wheat pretty hard but I still haven’t managed to get over there to waterfowl hunt yet.
Those areant just any ducks those are dirty ducks.

In that part of the state, if the birds are there it can be good. Also depends on water levels.

As suggested the state wildlife website is an excellent tool to use to find some ground to start with.
