Iam in no way trying to cyber scout here but I need some help getting pointed in the right direction. The TWRA does not show any public land on the river. Is this true? All I am asking for is how to find public land on the river. I have onX and even that is not very clear.

I don’t know how it is in West TN, but in East TN the TVA is the one that owns just about all the watercourses. If you’re under the high water mark, you can hunt. There are exceptions near refuges and actual TVA facilities. Usually you can refer to the TWRA guide to see what it says about refuges. I assume you’d also want to check guidelines for the state on the other side of the river (depending on where you are) to see if there’s any restricted areas in the river.
