Hello all! Well I'm new to the group so not sure what this is all about, so I'll be the guy that asks :hi: I served 6 years Army Cav Scout was in XVIII Airborne, and rated 100% DAV now unfortunately. If y'll don't mind explaining this to the new guy I would appreciate it.

First off thanks for your service.

I am retired Navy and 3 years ago I started a Veterans day hunt from this site. Every year it has got better and for the past two years Ben from Northflight Waterfowl sponsored the hunt and it has been a great time.

There is only one requirement to be a part of the hunt to be a Veteran. It is a time for brothers of all services to get together and share time in the blind. I hope to spend time in the blind with you

My next project I'm going to start is a Non-Profit Veterans Hunting organization. I may team up with WWA and utilize that great organization to help support the Washington Veterans.

When I head back to Iowa in the spring let's stay in touch and see if we can get another state involved in that.

I am really looking forward to the hunt.

Yes for the lodge.

Where exactly are we heading. I would appreciate a pm on the location. That way I can plan out my travel time.

Yep can't wait.

Is everyone on the list still good to go? I will send a PM to each and make sure all can still go and if we have room open up I will pull from the standby list. I will also send the Lodge information to the west side crew. Dang this is gonna be a great Veterans weekend.

I just got bounced out of the hunt. I was chatting with the wife and mentioned I was heading north on Friday afternoon to hunt on Saturday. She told me there was no way I could do that. It seems she has been secretly planning a family party with my two brothers that served overseas, 4 of our six nephews who are serving, and a bunch of us retired out family war dogs for that weekend. We are going to have a bunch of relatives around all weekend. I am just going to have to settle for early hunts Friday and Saturday, and an all day hunt on Sunday if the relatives are gone by then.

I hate to bail this late but I really don't have an option on this one.

Terrell, you mentioned you have a wait list. I hope someone on that list is available to go in my place. I am sure they will have a blast.

Some of the nephews just came home so they should have some interesting stories from overseas.
