Well, work has brought me back to Wyoming. And just in time for the opener. The pup had a rough start today. My daughter shot a canvasback at shooting hours and the pup decided to forget everything we worked on all summer. I picked up a triple on honkers and he sniffed each one multiple times before he came back without a bird. It was rough, but he earned a long week to get ready for next weekend.
Hows things in your neck of the woods man? Pup ready to go?
If a man is alone in a duck blind and no woman can hear him... Is he still wrong?

so far this season has been good, pup doing great! this summer he earned his Grand Master Pointing Retreiver title. he's just one of those dogs that loves to hunt. opening day he lost a teal in shallow water that didn;t resurface, hunted same spot next day + as soon as we got there he started hunting for that bird again. while we were putting out decoys he found that crippled teal!
the pic is a sandhill i drew a permit for--no dog work on that one!
glad to see your daughter still getting after em! oh and welcome back to God's country!
