Antelope hunting area 93

Postby Donald » Tue Sep 13, 2016 10:16 am

Hi I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction
I am from Ontario Canada coming to Wyoming to hunt antelope in unit 93 in a couple weeks, meeting up with my girlfriends friend and she's going to take us out. They hunt public land and not private.
Was just curious if there was a site I could get a map or pick one up some where for boundaries, and is it hard to locate land owners or to obtain permission?
thanks for your time

Most farmers I've encountered in other units will tell you to shoot 5 or 6 in the guts before you kill the 1 you want. I actually live on the border of the zone you'll be hunting and could point you to a couple areas. If you're just looking for a buck, that's easy. If you're looking for a B&C buck, you'll spend a lot of time behind the wheel and the spotting scope finding and judging bucks.

If you are adventurous, I saw a big big buck yesterday while fishing on the other side of the river.

You could cross the river and get a shot at the buck at the edge of the unit.

The roads are a lot better on the Green River city side than the La Barge Road side.

There are a few bucks that can be had on La Barge Rd too.

It is an easy to unit to hunt.

I wouldn't bother with landowners. You're as likely to find bucks roaming solo in the sage as you are on alfalfa. Being you're from Canada, I imagine you are asking about landowners as a "BLM" type property doesn't exist up there. The closest comparison would be federal Crown Land up your way. Most of Wyoming is BLM or Forest Service
