Hard sided blind

Postby ozarktroutbum » Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:17 am

I am in the process of designing one for my boat. I am planning on using either 3/4 or 1” aluminum tubing and reused metal roofing sheets. Blind sides will be roughly 42” above gunwales. Blind will be pretty light weight, but I am worried about running in windy, open water. This is a 1442 alweld with a 23 hp long tail. Boat will generally run around 15 mph loaded down with 2 people. What do y’all think?

At only 42” wide, might be pretty "tippy" if you build it that high.
I went that high on a boat blind, but it was over 8’ wide ( search for “the Life of barge”)
