Got the Traveler, unnamed last night. Butterball I love it. The brass is a great touch!!

Small mishap by USPS or UPS not sure who, so I tried to patch as best as possible.

We will get out tomorrow again, Monday and Tuesday before sending it down to Goldie.

No time for "scouting" as if we do that here. But She knew how important a good breakfast was to the hunt

She brought several males in but they sailed or escaped untouched. One gave it up.

Two blue wings couldn't resist and neither could a lonely goose or a confused hen mallard and ringbill.

Another great morning over the Traveler. Started by being to the area about 5:10 and nobody around. And nobody ever showed up.

We hung out seeing the Milky Way and lots of shooting stars while listening to loads of woodies, teal and mallards. Plus lots of geese.

As daylight grew closer we had lots of wind over wings and 4 different groups of woodies landing in the decoys!! Longest 10 minutes ever waiting for legal time, especially when other areas started going at 6:30!

The sun graced us coming up behind us and the mallards and wood ducks just popped with the sun hitting them. Seems odd to pick out drakes and hens on the first pass out of range so early in the season.

Rough weekend. No birds to report over Wanda. We should have had 3 wood ducks that wanted to chat with her, but we were too busy taking sunrise pics to bother shooting at ducks landing in our decoys. Then 5 minutes after I left crappieking and his friend out there, they shot a mallard.

I hate my curse.

Wanda is still being put to use. We'll see what trouble she can get into this weekend. The woodies avoided her this morning wonder what she did to deserve that kind of treatment. Ilikeduckies birds not pictured because he wanted to stay and hunt and I had a work call to get on.

Didn't burn the barrel over Wanda but Florida man showed her some action. Time to send her to Razzor in the UP. Fair warning though she attracts game warden's like bears to honey. Got checked twice in three times out with her which is more than I ever see Wardens all season.
