I'm thinking about getting a .22 long pistol, mainly to plink around with. I would prefer a semiauto, and not a revolver. What solid guns are out there that are for around $200? :help: :huh:

ruger makes a great little semi-auto, i also have a browning buck mark that i like as well as my ruger.

I had a S&W for a while - real nice gun, light and accurate. They run about $200 new.

As far as i am concerned there is no semi auto .22 pistol other than a Ruger!! I have two. Each have had literally 10,000 rounds thru them (550 round bricks of ammo adds up realy quick) without a single prolbme.....ever!

They do take some getting used to when you take them apart for the first time. But once you get the hang of it, they are not that bad really.

you can find a walther p22 for about $250 new. some people are not fans, but i really like them and havent had any trouble.

they dont all look like that but thats the general look. you can get different grips for them.

I'm looking at the S&W 22A and the Walther P22. Any thoughts?

I have sold and persoanlly owned S&W, Ruger and Brownings.
I use to use the S&W for my pistol training classes due to their light weight.

I kept the Browning Buckmark sold the others as I liek the feel of the Browing the best.

Browning it is! I'm prolly gonna get the Camper. I know the plastic sight base will crack, but i'm gonna mill one out of alum or steel or something in shop class
