I was wanting to add some seats, battery cases, gun holders to my jon boat!! I was wondering if you can drill into the bench seats with no problems? Also, has anyone added things like this to their boats? What has worked and what has not?

You oughta be able to drill into the bench seats with no problem, just be sure to drill a pilot hole & use self tappin' screws. :thumbsup:

the self tappers work great. usually i dont need a pilot hole.

Mounted all my swivel bases using self tappers but I used marine grade plywood mounted it to the aluminum bench then mounted the swivels to the plywood.
Also note that the swivel bases from Action had a recall and If you bought them from Cabelas they with replace them for free, shipping included.
This happened to me and I just got the replacements this week.
