The birds decided to come off the roost early today, they must have been anticipating the rising thermometer. As the first lines of birds came into view they caught us in the middle of putting out our spread. I tried to hurry but it seemed to take forever ,especially when birds are cupping up and trying to drop in while I fumbled with trying to put the heads on a group of sleepers. We finally got things sorted out and settled in for one of the best hunts of the season. As I had previously stated in the "Ducks in the Beans" post. We couldn`t access the prime spot ,but we were right next to it , and the geese loved it. It proved to be a very short hunt but very intense as far as the action went. Some of the best in the decoys shooting I have ever enjoyed. I had a great hunt today ,I hope you did too.
