This has been so far the worst year for duck hunting that I can remember.
I have not shot a duck this year and alot of my friends say the same. We have come to the conclusion that the wet snow we had in early Sept flatten all the crops up north. the farmers are having a tough time getting any of these crops off and the ducks are staying put. The snows are down by the thousands which is early for them. Hopefully Oct. will bring better hunting. With the warmer winters we have had the past 5 years we are actually starting to see ducks winter over here staying on the rivers which have not been freezing over. If the farmers don,t start getting thier crops off we will probably see alot more birds staying over .
