i don't hunt them with a gun anymore as they are too easy where i live, i still enjoy getting them with my camera.

i have seen several flocks in strut already but this is the 1st i got this year.they are gobbling every morning when i am airing the dogs before work and a small group made it up to my backyard yesterday afternoon.

one ugly bird but i suppose beauty is inthe eye of the beholder. in a odd way he really is quite regal looking.

Most of us are trying like heck to find a place to hunt turkeys and you talk of flocks of them that you wont even hunt because its too easy...ok I'm jealous.

i appreciate everyones kind words.

i truly know how you feel as that used to be where i was too. as i got older and had many opportunities presented to me it got to be much more clear what was really important.

i have turkeys, quail, deer, geese, ducks(both mallard and woodies) , bobcat and coyotes with lot of other critters running my place all the time.

i always wanted a place like this and after many yeasr and lots of hard work, i got it. i found the few meals and hunting adventures i would have here would pale in comparison to the joy i find in their presence.

this is not to be confused with not wanting to kill anything. i still do that . i just am very particular about what and where these days.
