I have hunted Shank's a couple times this year, but the hunting has not been good. The are holding approx. 40,000 duck right now but because the weather has been warmer that usual the ducks aren't leaving the reserve. For some reason they dicided to plant corn on the reserve this year, so the duck don't have to leave the reserve to eat accross the river in Illinois. The may come a time if the weather turns cold that the hunting will be real good there, but if you go, I would recommend getting in the wade and shoot area, they always seem to kill more ducks there rather than the blind areas.
Hope this helps.
