:help: I need cold weather and ducks now or I am gonna go nutz. Anybody else feel the same way. With all the rain we got hopefully they will get the marshes filled up quickly. Has anyone been to the Bottoms? Do they have water?

Galyans Waterfowler Weekend is 2 weeks away. If any Kansas hunters haven't been there during this weekend, you can find some great deals. I am taking a ton of money to get what I need.

Galyan's is located in Leawood. There are all sorts of booths of custom made calls, factory reps there for decoys. It is like christmas time for waterfowlers. They sell everything really cheap, or at least have the past 4 yrs I've been there

Galyan's waterfowl weekend was a bit of a disappointment. There were some good deals on longarms if you got there early on Friday morning, but there were not many call manufacturers set up on the weekend and no "deals" to be had on calls, either. BGB and Foiles were there, but all wanted sticker price.

I did pick up a floating gun case for $12, and some grass for the boat at 1/2 price, but decoys, camo, etc., was all pretty much regular retail.

The duck boat display was interesting, though. That $50k job with plasma screen video, full kitchen and central heat was just over the top!

I was really disappointed with Waterfowler Weekend. Bought the floating guncase for $12 and some bibs for $50 and to top it off some Flambeau feeder butts 4/$18. Cabelas didn't really have much either. Did buy a Power Hunter, 3 doz Avery Duck Decoys (I will never buy Avery again), and some Snow goose silos.

PS Avery decoys are made in China. Buy American and keep those jobs here.
