I looked all over google and the Fiocchi website and I cant figure out what powder they use. Has anyone cut one open? Could you ID by weight or makeup? Thanks

I don't know exactly which 3 1/2" Fiocchi shells you're referring to, but the 1 9/16 oz @1470 loads use Alliant STEEL powder. 30.5 grains to be exact, and an LBC 53 wad.

Dont rightly know. I shot fiocci before and will NEVER shoot em again. I cut one open to see what the shot looked like and to check the wadding with my barrel. the shot was crappy. There were oval shaped shot and even a few flat shot. The wadding was so loose in my barrel that I was surprised i even hit anything. Needless to say i was unimpressed.

Regardless of slayer's opinion I've tested those that I mentioned at length and they perform as listed. They use high quality components too.

I used to take pictures of factory components for reference. I have one of those 1 9/16 oz fiocchis I mentioned.
