I dont see Mississippi listed but, Im horning in anyways ... We had really good numbers of snows, blues, and specks during duck season...they have since thinned out, but, I still see a few every morning. Heading to ArkieLand the first week of next month for a Conservation Order shoot. Hopefully they'll be back by then...

I agree with duckbeus. I hunt the refuge alot over in tallahatchie county and all during duck season I would always see anywhere upwards of 10,000 to 20,000 a day. Got to the refuge one morning, not knowing they had roosted there the night before. I heard this noise over my radio and engine (diesel). I thought something was wrong with the truck at first.
The last day of duck season, I saw a few hundred and that was it.

Well My Dad and I went Down to Houston Tx for three days last years and I shot 22, 25, 16 Snows those three days and He did about the same.

Thats when we were able to shoot 25 a day on white geese. We hunted over the same rice feild every morning. Just saw thousands each day.

Now this year I havent seen anything yet. I didnt even go early Teal hunting, because they hadnt made it yet.

Last week brought down one snow, saw a flock or two of Canadians but that was about it. Hopefully this dreadful cold front will push them down here. Thats about all the info I have from Northwest OK

Well thanks to the Snow Geese I had a white Thanksgiving. They are getting thicker as of late but they still haven't hit NW Oklahoma in full force. Goodluck

Does anyone know how the conservation period is going in SE Texas with this major cold front in the area? I am supposed to come home in a few weeks from Afghanistan and would love to get into some good goose hunting before the conservation period is over with. Well hope to hear from all of you soon.
