Back bored?

Backboring means taking an existing shotgun barrel and boring it out so the internal diameter is larger than standard. Some claim this results in wonderful things such as less recoil, higher velocity and better patterns as well as removing warts and curing such afflictions as the common cold and erectile dysfunction. Browning calls their .742" Invector Plus barrels "backbored," but technically they are "overbored" since they are made that way.

Like Woodyard said.
Invector plus barrels (which fit the invector+ choke tubes) are over bored to .742
But browning calls them back bored. So I would think it's factory.
Seems a Mossberg has the largest bore in a 12 ga. and they pattern better than any gun i have seen.
So most the claims of it i do believe.
As far a curing erectile dysfunction is it better to get a 26" or go for the 32" barrel

PM your way, MM. Browning must have a few laying around some were  Our NWTF group just purchased a 3.5" Citori White Hunter with silver receiver & satin stock for $1299 @ got a free BPS as a bonus- rebate from Browning. The BPS was a home defender type model, 20" barrel fixed cyl choke  Oh well it was free :clapping:

The Browning and Winchester Inv. + 12 Ga. guns are back bored (overbore for standard 12 ga.) from the factory. I doubt anyone would have done additional metal removal on this gun. If you remove too much metal the wads won't seal. Some overbore guns shoot some loads faster. That seems to cure erectile dysfunction for for some people. (Or at least act as a substitute for proper function).
