imo, it's the flyway with the most ducks in it. more often than not, that's the mississippi.

we have a lot of banding projects on "local" birds..areas like Summer Lake WMA and the Warner Wetlands areas are 2 areas that i know of where banding occurs on an annual basis. hunters have a high probability of shooting a banded bird at these locations early in the season before the freeze moves them out.

as for which flyway has the best opportunity? i have no idea. i'll bet there are statistics on that though. if one was inclined to dig through enough information you could probably turn it up.
