So I just picked up my brand new AL391 Urika 2, which is also my first auto. I popped a couple shells in to test the "cutoff" and when I cycle the action, even with the cutoff in the flush, off position, the chamber ends empty after ejecting the chambered round. I am not all that familiar with autos, so I'm wondering if that is normal, and when i actually fire the first shell it will chamber the second, or maybe there is something wrong with the gun i just picked up. The gun didn't come with a manual either, just a booklet of general safety, any insight is appreciated.

There is a little button on the under side of the gun, directly in front of the trigger mechanism. Push that in and one will pop out of the magazine. It all takes place when it is being fired, but not when manually cycling shells. Thats how my Xtrema2 is anyways. I did the same thing you are doing and had to resort to the owners manual, Id call Beretta and get one sent out.

When using the cutoff to eject the shells from the magazine you need to push the shell into the magazine tube slightly and push the slide release button and they will pop out of the tube. The "cutoff" button has to be fpushed in when doing this.

Again, this is how my Xtrema2 is and Im assuming its the same on the Urika.
