I'm looking for a new goose call, but i want to stay away from the mass produced calls like the foiles, zink, etc calls. What are there for the small shop call makers out there? I want a really good goose call, but i want it from a custom shop, or a smaller call maker. All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David

:dito: I have had quite a few calls and that is my #1 now. It has it all. I still like my SMH's, but for a do it all call that is easy to run and can really crank out some volume when you want it the Shore thing is it for me.

I own most the bigger name company calls but feel you get better service with the smaller guys and actually sometimes better calls all togeter. The best service and best calls bar none are by Gander Valley Custom Calls! The calls are so easy to run and I get some real nasty goose out of the Powerhouse, tore gees up the last two seasons with them. Check out the site.

I hate to tell you but there is no "BEST" out there....we all have our opinions and know what feels best to each of us as an individual. There is tons of talent out there and I have had the pleasure of dealing with a lot of them. I will agree with the statement above Mark at Gander Valley sure does a great job tuning to your request as well as producing a fine call. I think his customer service goes way above and beyond...he spent hours with me on the phone to assure i got what I wanted. I cannot count the emails he was truly a class act. I have all of his calls and they hang proudly around my neck.

I've got to agree with Randy 120% on Mark's CS - he is a class act, and will go the distance as far as making sure you're happy with his calls. I've got his lathe tunring as we speak, and can't wait to try out his work - if the calls sound as good in person as they did over the phone then I'll be more than satisfied.

John is also tough to beat as far as CS goes - great guy, very helpful and cares about the customer's satisfaction.
