my best hunts have been over a field of feed corn that was already harvested with alot still on the ground. around yuma they love milo maize (? spell) they are always FULL of the stuff.

we get doves in droves when the Thistle seeds out...though i can't imagine WHY anyone would intentionally plant thistle.

when i lived in arizona we would get them in just about any grain field with good success.

Milo- Sunflowers_ Wheat- or anything that gets me on the tractor for a few hours and away from the computer!!! Have you ever hunted over Dove Food Plots? The experience is quite impressive!! Food plots just take trail and error for the area you are in. BE carefule with your State's and the FED anti-baiting laws.... Cause Federal and State Game wardens can make a good time go bad quick! We walk our fields with the gamewarden prior to huning them with clients.. Mis interpretaions or mistakes can and do happen, if the plot is secret you might have an issue. ...
