I took twenty minutes this morning and with a set of binocs watched the feeders out back......as a sure sign of spring I saw:
five RW blackbirds
a half dozen robins (actually they were at the crab apple bush knocking down the berries)
three blue jays
a purple finch
at least a dozen gold finches
a downey woodpecker
a group of mourning doves
a few english sparrows and of course a bunch of chickadees
in addition....the chipmunks were rampant running across the snow
