Can some one explain the blind laws in Va please? Where you can put a blind up or not. And where can you hunt out of a floating blind or not. I live in a area that has not allowed floating blinds now we can by a blind stake for 5 dollars nov 1 and use that with a floating blind. I know I need to be 500yards from another blind but what else? I talked to a game warden and could not get a good answer. How do most of you handle floating blinds?

I could write a book on the subject and it would still be unclear to whoever read it . The best I can do for you is to read this over and over from now to Nov 1 so when someone comes up to you cussing you can read it back to them without the book in front of you .

All I know to be true is if it's Saltwater it's public , when you get up in a river past the first highway bridge one must know if the king gave the river to one of his friends way back when . The best thing you can do is to take a map of the water you want to hunt up to the Richmond VDGIF and point to the spot and ask can I hunt this spot in my boat , and keep pointing out spots until you get all of the  you want .
