When I bid on Ebay I make sure the card is in with the band. Otherwise you have to wait when they send it.

there is a kid i used to hunt with. he is 15 and he has 15 mallard bands and 10 canada bands and 2 "dove bands". now. that looks suspicious. a 15 y.o kid kith 27 bands. idk how he fit all them on his lanyard. and then they are all nice and shiny. they dont have a speck of dirt on them.

and he bought them on EBAY. i managed to milk 2 bands out of him. a goose band and a duck band.

Are you proud of those 2 bands?

i was. as you can tell from my totals that it is not likely that i shot them myself. so most people just say, "your a moron. take them off. i know you didnt shoot them."

i do have my cousin fooled though. he thinks i really did shoot them.

I've been getting the run around about a band for 3 years now. When I first reported it, they said the banding party had not submitted the info yet. Then I called back and they gave me a 301 prefix phone number to call. Nobody ever answers, you get voicemail. I've called 6 times in 3 years.

I called again last week.

I just sent an email to the link above.

Has anybody else ever had a problem like this?

Don, look straight above you. Is there a black cloud floating there all the time?

Should I start the story when my father died on my 12th birthday, never legally being able to take me hunting? While that may be true and I've had some tough luck in the past, like breaking both my arms and a bunch of ribs 2 weeks before the duck opener 2 years ago, I've been blessed. My kids are the first thing that come to mind.

Back on topic.

Hey Don, what doesn't kill ya, makes ya stronger. And no, I've never had a problem. I've always called mine in and got a cert. stating when and where it was banded within a few weeks.

I can relate to a lot of your problems too. My real dad left before I was born and my adopted dad didn't hunt. Just when we started fishing together a little, he died. I also ruptured a disc in my neck right before the hunting season a few years ago. My wifes mom died on her 18th birthday. Enough of this crap, I'm sure everyone wants to get depressed with our sorry ass stories. :fingerhead:
