Of course in reality in depends on personal preference. Having said that I believe a single is the best all round call. First they have the ability to sound like multiple birds, one can change pitch, they also tend to have more volume.....Singles are the only calls I make anymore....they are a little harder to master, but the end result is worth the effort....Double reeds can be more ducky without the effort required in a single, but again they dont have the ability to change pitch and are limited in volume....My money is singles, but its a choice more than anything
