i was thinking about getting a couple dozen of the duck commander mallard decoys by carry light. i was wondering what your thoughts on them are. the drakes heads look pretty shiny to me, is it just the picture? does the paint really "not chip"? any other suggestions would be helpful! thanks

carry lite makes a fairly good decoy. I have not been too happy with the scaup and cans I have, but I think I got their "busy busy, crank out decoys, early season" batch. They are all weighted keels, and after some abuse many have started leaking around the keels. Easy fix, but a pain. I have had some of their water keel mallards for nearly 10 seasons with very little repainting. They are a bit small, but they get the job done. For walk in hunts, they are the best.
