i did see this. i didn't realize they had it in Remini though. i think i will go. are you planning on going to watch and/or put your dog in? i might check the club out and see if it's something i can get involved in on a regular basis. it looks pretty good. i think my fat boy is probably to old to participate though, but i have been doing some thinking about a new puppy :smile: ...

i wasn't aware they used real ducks. how does that work? do they dispatch them and then launch for the dog to mark, or does the handler shoot them (i can't imagine that being the case). have any details? thanks in advance and for sharing those great pics!
No all ducks are already dead. The only live birds that are actually shot are in the field test hunts with the pointers which they use chuckers. 75% continued to leave from what I saw, its a good thing the guys were not marked for missing :mrgreen:
Most cases the ducks are launched and shot at (pretend) with blanks for the dog. And some blind retrieves have people set the birds out for the dogs to find.
