I'm 3 birds away from completing the Waterfowlers challenge. Alaska next week for Red Breasted and Mexico in Jan for Fulvous. I was planning a trip to Ohio for a Common Merganser, but my guide seems to be ghosting me. Anyone know of a guide I can use for a Common? I really want to finish the challenge this year! I need a high probability hook up please!

Have you looked into Massachusetts. Lot of good sea duck guides that could put you on a common and a red breasted rather easily.
Only non sea duck hunters call mergansers. Sea ducks. I usually call them much worse, just never a sea duck. Not is the bufflehead or goldeneye. Sea duck=Scoters, Eiders, Old Squaw oops.. sorry, I mean long-tailed duck for all yall sensitive folk, and Harlequin. Those are THE ONLY true Sea ducks. At least to hardcore Sea duck hunters.Sure you can kill others, but its lie saying a Brant is a Sea duck. Sorry for the rant they are different tho
