We're blessed/cursed with tens of thousands of these SOBs this time of year and Indiana has a very liberal season. 'Decided to try decoying them into the gun... and it's been great fun. We're just getting started, but it's a very challenging bird to fool. Soon as my marsh freezes up good and solid--this weekend--were going after them again out in the middle.
Anybody else set-up specifically to hunt for crows? We may not have great duck hunting in Indiana, but we've got great crow numbers right now. 'They gonna pay...

I usually put a crow decoy out while duck hunting and shoot any I can get in range. Haven't specifically gone after just crows ever. What area do you live in?

used to do it exclusively after waterfowl season. It was awesome. in IL we could use E-callers. we hunted a field edge that had a little gassy island next to it with a single tree in it. took a crappie pole and hung crow dekes in the tree, staked them in the field and even took an old stuffed animal and made a jerk string crow on it that looked like it was pecking away and eating it. Some awesome memories shooting them! They have excellent eyesight and will pick you out if you are moving. Very similar to turkey hunting, hide and no movement is extremely important.
