I am quite new to duck hunting, when I have gone it has been with people who have decoys. I am looking to purchase some duck decoys of my own. What brand is the best bang for the buck. I am looking to start out with about 2 dozen or so. Thanks in advance.

A lot depends on how/where you hunt. Dakota, Higdon, Avery and others all have decoys at different prices. $70 to $180 dz is general range. Are you walking in? May want inflatibles. Going to put them out every time you hunt. Dakota or Higdon battleship my be better. Need a bunch to leave out Avery $70 dz. Just lots of choices depending on your needs / pocketbook. Talk to some local hunters where you will be hunting and see what they say.

I started out with the Hardcore decoys. Solid decoys for beginners if you're looking to just get some mallards or puddler packs. Starting here soon (next month or so), they usually have a daily deal on some type of decoy wether it be floaters, shells, whatever.
Jut something to look for. I've now got me some DOA dekes that have been kicking ass for me.

Thank you for the help! I was looking at the GHG 12 pack. Are GHG decoys pretty light?
Hey there, I have 24 GHG decoys that have only been hunted a few times. I have them rigged with weights and have bags. If you want, I can sell these to you for cheap. Just let me know. You can price out the GHG's and the bags with weights and let me know what you think.
