A HUNTING COMMUNICATIONS WORKSHOP- Designed to give hunters the information, messages and tools they need to promote and defend hunting.

8:45 - 9:00: An Introduction to Delta Waterfowl: Waterfowl Conservation and the Future of Hunting- Dr. Robert O. Bailey & Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

9:00 - 9:30: What Workshop Participants Need to Know to Promote and Defend Hunting- Dr. Robert O. Bailey & Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

9:30 - 10:30: Agents of Change: Animal Rights and Radical Environmentalism in Canada- Understanding the Strategies and Tactics of the Anti- Hunting Movement- Dr. Robert O. Bailey

12:00 - 1:00: Lunch- Provided for Registered Workshop Participants. There will be a presentation to the Firearm Hunting Safety Instructor of the Year by the PEI Department of Environment, Energy & Forestry

1:00 - 1:45: Nine Rules of Politics: How to Influence Government Decisions on the Future of Hunting- Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

1:45 - 2:30: Hunting Messages that Work- Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

2:30 - 2:45: The Manitoba Wildlife Information Network: A Case History of an Organization Designed to Defend Hunting- Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

2:45 - 3:00: The Media- Friend or Foe? What you need to know to work with the Media- Mr. Robert D. Sopuck

3:00 - 3:30: Working with the Media in Atlantic Canada- Mr. Jack MacAndrew

3:30 - 3:45: Summary and Closing- Kevin Arsenault & Dr. Robert O. Bailey
