My expectations of making up for my piss poor shooting were drowned out at about 06:30 when the sky opened up and poured buckets, couldn’t haul ass to my truck quick enough. Haven’t had to deal with this crap for years. Miss the dry cold days.

Morning. Headed to Galveston today. My dad is down visiting and I hired a guide to take us fishing tomorrow morning for redfish. Hopefully pics to come!

Well, I see yet another site sold my email address as I get this link this morning.

I haven't done magazines for years mainly because they were articles of tired topics or focused on things I don't do (like Muley hunting with a Bowie knife) or require a 100K boat to fish for the fish. Years ago I enjoyed the great outdoor writers and even silly stuff like McManus but the true artists seem lost and tend to be technical Tommy's.

Anyway - had to laugh as I quickly browsed through the few pages this digital rag offered. I get it's free (at least the 1st issue) and I get revenue and making money but...geesh...this is just an ad catalogue.

Shortly after we got our first GSP (Jordan) in the spring of 1999, I was at an outdoor or home show thing. As we walked the convention center, there were the normal drawings. I used my pup's name on the entry cards. This great dog passed seven years ago, but her memory lives on as I still get mail addressed to her. Heck, she was even pre-approved for credit cards. 💲💲💲

Did the same with my last pup , she still gets mail and offers too

What's Dep been up to???

No pics but we didn’t get skunked. 3 sheepshead and1 speckled trout. The guide warned that things had been slow which is fine because that’s fishing. My complaint is that the guide spent probably 1.5 hours of a 4 hour trip on speakerphone with his buddies about his afternoon round of golf and his upcoming trip to Costa Rica. We were definitely not his number one priority. And I will definitely not fish with him again.
