You're very fortunate to live where you do and to have a buffer from the city. Any man who's ever had aspirations to be a woodsman or just to be away from the noise and annoyance of the city, dreams of living somewhere like you do. I hope you can keep things the way they currently sit. It’s only 35 acres. Surrounded by ag land controlled by one farming family that owns most of the county. For a long, long time that’s kept this place preserved.
Being a Gulf Coast dweller, my first thought was of the Pick-up Sticks one of our storms might make of it.Beautiful. That picture looks like something out of a Robert Frost poem.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,Being a Gulf Coast dweller, my first thought was of the Pick-up Sticks one of our storms might make of it.
You're a deep one.The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep with lots of sticks and branches to pick-up
And miles to go before I sleep
-Robert Frost
Same around here, but we call it firewood. Thanks to the ash borer, it doesn’t take wind to leave a mess of the yard under those trees.
Ash and elm dying all the time at my place. If I had the time for it I could make several families a lifetime supply of firewoodSame around here, but we call it firewood.
The show is fairly true to form of the Ozark culture. It is a bizarre mix of city people and hillbillies. There are massive multimillion dollar homes and single wide trailers. And everyone gets along quite well. In the summer, it is funville with all the water sports, but by the end of September, most city people stay in KC or STL and it is a different place. Very quiet and peaceful.I watched that show ozark. Crazy stuff happening over there. How’s the fishing?

As for fishing, it all depends on what you are after. Bass fishing is The Sport at the lake, but dinner is served on crappie and catfish.

I've never done this thing called snagging, but it is quite the thing in the spring. Literally, people troll back and forth and try to randomly snag a paddlefish or spoonbill with a giant treble hook.

No, not my house, but there are hundreds of similar stature. We sold a smaller house and built a bigger one to accommodate my three kids, their spousal units and the grand babies that are now popping out, so yes, we have room for you. And the first sign you see when you walk in is - Friends are always welcome. Relatives by appointment only.So I can assume that’s a picture of your house? Looks like you’ve got plenty of room for me to come visit.
My depth knows no bounds. You're a deep one.
