I'm looking for some input regarding the differences between the Beretta 303, 390, and 391. I know of a very nice 303 12 ga for sale, I think it is a much nicer looking gun than the 390 and 391. However what about its reliability?
303 is the oldest model. 390 replaced it and IMO is a much better design. 391 is an upgrade to the 390, some people who have the 391 love them and some would rather have the 390. 391 has a slimmer forearm than the 390. I have a 390 and 391 Xtreama which is different than the standard 391 so I can't be specific about the small differences between the 390 and 391.
303 is a very nice, dependable, middle level shotgun. price will be the factor. $300 give or take in good used condition. if you really want it you won't go wrong but make sure the guy doesn't get you up to a new gun price.
all regular brand shot guns lose 50% in value the minute you walk out the door except for browning. it loses 30 %. then they go down from there with condition and model.
this does not stop anyone from trying to get top dollar or the inexperienced from giving it to them.
i think much like a dealer myself. if it is too high priced i always say it means much more to you than it does to me so you should probably keep it!
