holy cripe...are you going to narrow that down at all? there are literally hundereds of species of ducks that fit into each category.

are you limiting them to:

north america
eastern USA
western USA
are you including canada

???

i can get you pointed in the right direction for different species of ducks, but i need to know a bit more what you are looking for.

the following are some links to sites that offer good research material. remember, footnote your information so you don't get accused of plagerism!! :salude:

this one lists the North American Ducks by category. Puddlers(dabblers) - Divers - Sea Ducks - etc. it also gives you some good information on breeding and population trends.

This one is a pretty basic site, but will give you a few good specifics on each bird species. i think it is the same info that shrpshtr posted, just a different way to get it.

Here is a great description on the different north american flyways...in case you wanted to incorporate that into your presentation.
