Many of the lakes in central MN are good diver lakes, especially shallow bays or lakes of less than 10' of water where the wild celery and rice grows.
Unfortunetely, the huge influx of fieshermen I personally believe has contributed to the dimize of the diver hunting in MN. In clarifying this opinion, 2 things. 1 is the shear number of boats out and about in Oct compared to 30 years ago. 2nd is the big motors along with the run and gun philosophy of many fishermen. Basically they are constantly disturbing the divers. The divers have basically left as a result of all the boat traffic.
