What is the best/ biggest dog blind on the market? (Looking for a 80lb. yellow lab) Currently own a Hardcore Doghouse...it seems to small for the pup.

I have the GHG blind and not the low one. My current 60# female with shorter legs does great in it. She can even turn around in it. My former dog was 95# and leggy and had to army crawl to get into it and it was not the best for his size.

I can't even remember who makes this one, but it is my go-to field blind. I've had it for at least 10 years. It folds flat, then pops up like a tent, with two fiberglass poles that intersect at the top. Lots of room for my 75 lb lab to turn around inside. I put a styrofoam floor in it when the ground is frozen. It has a zip up front, and ventilated sides, along with straps for grassing. Simple and effective, and you could probably build one for $10 worth of supplies.

I have that blind as well... It's actually the only other one I've seen. It is a pain in the can if you don't put a floor of some kind in (plywood or the like) or stake it down with aftermarket stakes... Kept falling over when the dog would get in it with the factory supplied stakes.

I got a GHG Ground Force for XMas a couple years back, and couldn't be happier... having the frame in it was a huge advantage. I thought about building a frame with PVC for the other one, but the wife couldn't stand me b!tc#!ng about it, and hooked me up with a blind that is tried and true.

A lot of times, I am walking out, dragging my blind, which will contain my gun, shells, decoys, and dog blind, so having a large dog blind is not practical for a lot of my hunting. It has to be a fold down, light type. With the styrofoam floor, it prevents if from collapsing, as well as provides a toasty floor for the dog to curl up on, and it is light as well.

I had that one also - bought it at Gander Mountain several years ago as a training blind. I agree it was a pain. So I sent it to some newbie college kid here that was struggling with buying one. Woulda been nice to see his dog in it but it was better than throwing it away.

I agree there are some, including Invisilab that I wouldn't carry too far on a walk-in. It's not that big a deal going without. I've always parked the dog away from the spread in a remote sit. That's tough hunting flooded areas though.

Nice. It still works for me, and it is really light, so it has its place. I do like the other one you have in the picture as well. I should pick up another one that has a lower profile anyway.
Where you ever able to twist it back up into a small circular configuration after you opened it? :lol3: It was like a Chinese puzzle!
