Hello,
I'm wondering what everyone uses or recommends for ground cover in their dog kennels. My kennel/backyard had grass which this winter has withered to dirt/mud (mainly due to the addition of another dog). My dogs do have an elevated deck area where their houses are and they mainly hang out there (this deck area is also shaded in the summer). I don't want to invest in concrete and was thinking of small rock or gravel. The only concern I have with this option is that it may get hot in the summer. There is a concreted walkway around the area i'm trying to cover but it can get to 90-100 degrees where I live. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks,
Matt

Well thanks again for all your info. I didn't consider the clean up factor, I guess concrete might be worth it if it saves me cleaning time! I hope you all had a great hunting season, duck is done this year in Colorado the only thing left is a late light goose season. Thanks again and good luck if you're still blastin!!!!
