Hey All,

Here are the much anticipated audio files from your fellow DHC'ers working their duck calls. They are up here for critiquing and general comments. Just follow the link below. If you want to participate, the instructions are on the page or you can just email me with the audio file, name of the call, and type of call you have provided. I think everyone will find this enjoyable.

There are 2 on there so far and by the sound of it, I am way outta my league...these boys can call really good. Thanks for being the guinea pigs on this frazier2209 and bret! (Y'all both sound great in my book! )

NOTE: The site/forum rules apply here as much, if not more, about insulting/bashing/etc. Critcism is a good thing, as long as it stays constructive. If this becomes a problem, I will not hesitate to pull this link.

I would have to agree to that statement, I think I only have about three of those notes in my arsinal.

How do you to expect the rest of us to put our sound bytes on there after listening to that   Both sound very good I hope one day I can make a few calls that sound alittle bit like that.

it's not about comparison. personally, i can't wait to get mine up there just to have y'all tell me where and how to improve....

this isn't a calling competition. i don't think anyone here cares if you can't even make a quack. i can assure you that "EVERYONE" that ever blew a duck call was as bad as you, if not worse. give it a whirl...you can only improve right....

98, that RNT sounds a little high-pitched on the feeder. Also, the only thing I would say is to try and take some of the "grunt" and rasp out of your calling. I think you can do this by not getting air from so deep in your lungs and putting so much into it. Lip placement will also help to change the pitch a little for me. For meat calling it doesn't really matter but if you ever enter any contests you should work on making your hail calls more consistent in length and the tone about how it steps down. (Make it a gradual step-down instead of a blunt one.) NE ways sound pretty good!

Frazier,

That grunt and rasp is really noticable on the hail. I can do it perfectly but when I step it down I am so used to trying to make it raspy that it doesnt come down smoothly. I dont know if I would ever get into toury calling, but I want to be the best at killing ducks that I can be

So wht kind of hard or software do I need to put up audio?
just a microphone that has a 1/8th jack and an operating system on your computer (windows 98, 2000, xp, etc.) that has sound recorder on it.
