How long does it take a duck to eat a full throat of wheat or say corn? Can they pass these grains in one day? In hours?

Fellow who hunted with me did his graduate work on the diet of Pool 19 divers, and when I asked him how he knew they'd fed there, he said they were pretty much a straight tube needing just hours from bill to butt. But something like corn could differ substantially from mollusks, I suppose...

Thanks. These ducks I believe migrated down my way recently and I don't think there is any grain or corn available in the vicinity, so I'm trying to gain a better understanding of their feeding behavior and habits.
