Duck Hunting videos?

Hi! I wondered if I could start some chatter about this subject....does anyone ever get a duck hunting video and end up 
that you spent the money because of the footage?
I mean is it just me or would anyone else like to see what people are actually shooting?
The DC's used to show what the shot but have stopped. I think that's the best part of waterfowling is you never quite know what your gonna get in your bag that day......
Any thoughts???????

It has always ticked me off when someone goes out of the country to film a hunt and then can't take afew seconds to show off the trophy. I like the kill shot but I've seen a billion birds die on film. I like to see new places and new birds once in awhile. Lets face it, North of the US might be easy footage especially on pre-pubescent geese, but it gets old fast. I enjoy seeing timber and rice field hunts but, WOW they are on every DVD and I have over 3 dozen dvds! Show me something new, show off the birds alittle bit, or I won't buy the show.
I know what you mean. I was excited when we got the DC new zeland video and they didn't really show any of the ducks!!
where we hunt we get a very diverse bag limit, and it's always exciting when something different comes in. I just think they are getting a little too stuffy in most videos......I would just like to see some guys out hunting and them show what they are shooting!! even if it's US.
and the music always gets on my ninth nerve. you'd think that all duck hunters listen to terrible music if it was based on their choice of music!! I want to see a video with some rockin' music!!!

Duck hunting is duck hunting to me. The only thing that can ruin a DVD is a bad personality.
All that being said, you guys should check out the Ducks, Dogs & Decoys DVD. Capt. Coats did a great job getting alittle bit of everything on there. Something for decoys guys, dog trainers and lots of birds, especially some incredible footage of rare divers in action. And this is a guy who appreciates a bird in the hand-every detail. The 2 dvd's in one set is well worth the money!....and no I'm not on the payroll.

You said it duckbuster! If the guys in the video don't have any personality then the video isn't worth much in my book either. :yes:
well, we got the video you spoke of. It was pretty good. I thought it was interesting.
I still would like to see something a little more edgy, but maybe that's just me. thank you for the recomendation.

ive seen a few duck hunting videos. there was mainly only two that i really liked. the rest either were kind of boring or just kill shots. i like ones that show the approach of the birds, the kill, and show the bird after the kill.

Each new video gets watched upwards of 20 times a year, more if its Duck Commander. Then its back to the classics.
Haven't seen any of the Zink crew dvd's mentioned... There is some really good footage and they do kill alot of stuff. Since I have the movies on while I work on taxidermy I also enjoy seeing some of what goes into the decoy and video making business-somebody else's business! And my wife will sit and watch, although I don't know why...
I agree that they need to show the birds after the shot or after the hunt just to see what all they got.
Another thing I'd like to see is a duck flying in the area, someone start calling, and show the entire sequence of someone working a duck/ducks. On most videos, you see a duck, hear somebody blow a hail call, then the kill shot. Lets see 'em do some actual huntin instead of just shootin!

The only one I kinda didn't like was Rock on by Foiles. The footage was awesome as usual, but it played the same music over and over.

I'm usually pleased with the hunting videos. its the TV shows that seem to suck most of the time. I dont wanna watch somebody who cant even hunt as well as I can! I dont learn much, but instead find myself telling the people in the TV what they're doing wrong.
I like Zink and DC. they kill ducks, a lot of ducks. and so we share common goals :yes:

however I definitely dont wanna see someone who cant call or shoot, but has personality. :no:
