If you stop and think about it 300 birds is a reality. Here in Utah we have 107 days for ducks, 7 ducks a day. If you hunted every day and got a limit that would = 749 birds possible for a season. On geese we are allowed 3 dark and 3 light geese a day and a 107 day season plus a extended 7 day hunt day on cans in a southern county. That could make for a possible 663 geese in the bag for a season.

Just wish I had the time and money to hunt all 107 days. I would probably have to find a new wife if it did happen!

As for me I ended the season with around 200 ducks, 25 dark geese, and 17 white geese. Spectacular season for whites in my neck of the woods but a really slow year for the dark birds.

Here is a way it would be possible. I live in a small valley (with few people and a lot of water), here in Utah. We have a reservoir to the west of us. A fair sized stream that runs into it and a large number of ponds in our valley. In October I can go out to the ponds and always find enough birds to fill a limit. If you figure I went out every night after work and killed 4 birds on average, that would =130 birds. In November the ponds start to freeze I start hunting the reservoir. another 30 days. Say I went every night killed and average of 3, that = 90 birds. In December the res freezes so I start hunting the river. (Which is where the ducks move to) When the ducks are on it they are easy to find and jump shoot. Say I go every night and kill 5 on average, there is another 230. (dec 1 to jan 15) 107 day season and seven bird limit a day.

If the conditions are right a man could kill a lot of birds. I certainly don't have the time to do this or the stomach to eat that many. But if I were retired and had nothing better to do. Wow it could be fun. :salude:
