Did anyone go out this last weekend? I'm curious to see how everyone did. I was planning on going myself, but for the life of me couldn't find a goose in my scouting so I bagged it. Just curious how everyone did.

Not a damn thing. Went east of the mountains for the weekend and saw only a handful of geese and then came home and went out on a local slough and saw one flock.... I guess i should just wait till season!

Robberwood, sorry to hear it. It does make me feel a little better though knowing that I wasn't the only one not seeing geese recently.

Last night while I was out working on my garage I had a big flock fly over and boy were they carrying on. I ran over to the truck and grabbed my calls and started honking at them and actually turned the whole flock. That was pretty awsome. My next door neighbor was out and was impressed. Fun, but still not as fun as shooting. Oh well only a couple more weeks until the opener. :thumbsup:

i saw bout 300 geese this weekend on the yakima and a lot of doves but i dont have my license yet because last time i went out on the early goos hunt i got shot at on the reservation by a drunk and about some 200 dollar horses and owning land for many moons no joke it was crazy

believe it or not.. i hunted west side.. i didn't shoot but i called for my buddy and he shot 2.. shot at a few more.. but only bagged 2.. he did well.. being he has only owned a gun for about a year now..

congrats on good calling as well as to your buddy's shooting skills, sounds like you both had a great day. I'm starting to see geese back in all the local spots again, so maybe we can have some luck here in a few more weeks when it opens around here.

During the early goose here in Snohomish Co. I saw more geese in day than during all last season, or about 250+. We were set up in a cut wheat field and shot at one big flock of 50 and of course missed our shots. But as that flock flew off another one the same size came in and we shot and missed. Right when we started shooting we saw 3 more flocks of geese the same size. But when we started shooting they flared. I did manage to get some 2 day later[you guys will never guess where so I'll just tell you, :smile: OFF THE BACK PORCH]
