Most my guns eject the shells to my right - the autos eject with some force too. My Mossy 935 (don't start) ejects the shells 6 feet out in front of me. My buddy likes it because I'm not bouncing shells off him anymore.

As long as they come out, I don't see what the problem is? :salude:

Well think about it... It actually safe for group hunting, that way you don't have you buddy getting slapped in the eye with a spent shell, with 935 if you buddy gets hit with a shell he's dead anyway, no reason for people to be standing in front of you.

yah my friend has a win. super X2 and on opening day his shells would fly right into my lab (I was 7 feet to his right) I would start laughing b/c as a shell would fly by me I would start to follow it with my gun. It made it hard to hunt when your laughing and swinging after shells

I use a Browning BPS and an Ithaca 37. They eject downwards, and the BPS also has a top tang safety, which I like and find faster than a crossbolt.

Sounds like Mossberg did it right. You don't want to have the shells kicked out next to you. If you've ever had a piece of hot brass go down into your shirt, as it ejected from your buddy's gun, then you know what I mean.

I've had .45 auto, .30 carbine, and .223 go down my shirt, and it is not fun. Not to mention when they hit you in the face.
