I know that the weather right now is temporary and things can change any day...but doesn't it just feel so much later this year? Some years it's like this but given how warm it's been in previous years with an early push it feels extremely late this year.

I'm frustrated because I don't have anything to do in the shop anymore now that things are already packed.

I hope someone is enjoying the birds right now.

Chris, our birds have actually left early here in South Louisiana. There is usually no sign of them after March 1st except for a few straggler specks, but we enjoy good hunting up until the last week of Feb. We smacked them last weekend (131), but I can't seem to find any birds now. Today, I'm going to drive about 50 miles north of here to see if I can spot any.

I hear that they are jammed packed in Southern and Eastern Arkansas right now. Good Luck this season.

It's been late for us here in SW missouri. We usually see them the end of January, but they just started showing up this last week. They might be later, but there are still just as many as there have always been.

We have had a "normal year" when you look at the long term averages. We have been spoiled the last 9 years with milder winters across the US. Heading to -10 again tonight
